Cream Cheese Dip with Everything Bagel Seasoning

I’ve got some pretty easy dips in my arsenal, like Rotel dip with ground beef, this easy taco dip recipe, or slow cooker buffalo chicken dip, but this everything bagel dip is so easy it almost doesn’t need a recipe!

I still wrote one to share with all of you because it’s a dip so good, I couldn’t keep it a secret.

It’s made with just 3 ingredients, cream cheese, sour cream, and seasoning. It doesn’t need heating or chilling (unless you want to) and can be served with all your favorite dippers.

So, the next time you need a creamy flavorful dip, I highly recommend making this one. It’s perfect for hosting a gathering, a game day party, or when you just want a new dip your kids can eat their veggies with.

Why you’ll love Everything Bagel Dip

Tons of flavor – Everything bagel seasoning is good on more than just bagels. I like to sprinkle it on avocado toast, over scrambled eggs, and now I’m obsessed with using it as a seasoning for this dip.

A 5-minute dip – With so few ingredients and minimal prep, it couldn’t be easier to whip up.

Budget-friendly – Use whatever brand of ingredients you can get your hands on. You should be able to find what you need at your local grocery store.

Below is a list of the ingredients you’ll need to gather to make this recipe, why you need them, and possible substitutions. Scroll all the way down for the full recipe card with measurements.

Jump
  • Cream Cheese – Bring it out to room temperature. It needs to be soft enough to mix.
  • Sour Cream – I usually use full-fat sour cream for consistency but use whatever you prefer.
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning – This is a blend of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried onion, dried garlic, and salt. I like the Trader Joe’s brand, but there are plenty to choose from.

How to make Everything Bagel Dip

This section shows you how to make this recipe, with process photos showing the steps to help you visualize it. For full instructions, including amounts and temperatures, see the recipe card below.

Jump
  1. Step One: Grab a medium mixing bowl and use an electric mixer to whip up the cream cheese until it’s just starting to become fluffy. This should be about 2 minutes.
  2. Step Two: Stir in the sour cream and everything bagel seasoning. Adding sour cream will help to lighten up the thick cream cheese.

  1. Step Three: I prefer to serve it cold, so I usually pop it in the fridge at this point. Then, I will sprinkle with a bit more seasoning just before serving.

What to serve with Everything Seasoning Dip

Serve this dip in a pumpernickel boule for extra presentation. You can cut out the middle and use the inner pieces for dipping!

You can also use any type of bread you want. Rye, sourdough, or any piece of artisan loaf would be great.

Chips, crackers, pretzel chips, soft pretzels, bagel chips, and veggies are always a good choice. I love to dip carrots in it. You could also use celery, cucumbers, radish, bell peppers, broccoli florets, etc.

  • Make this dip up to 3 days ahead. Keep it refrigerated with a piece of plastic wrap to cover. Stir it before serving.
  • Instead of sour cream, you could add some protein (& lose some calories) by using plain Greek yogurt.
  • Ramp it up with some heat. Throw in some diced jalapenos.
  • Add some cooked bacon crumbles for added flavor.
  • Double or triple the recipe to serve a crowd. You could also make more than you need just because you want to keep some for yourself!
